Thank God His people are waking up despite what the schools, media and some pulpits have been proclaiming as inevitable. The fall of this God fearing nation is greatly exagerated.
What percentage of that group in D.C. today do you believe are "His people"?

By the way I think it's great that that many people showed up. America needs more and more people who are concerned, well informed, and involved in the political discussions and issues facing us. That's the heart and soul of this country.
Now most (and I'm not saying all) of the tea party types that I've seen are far out there and believe all the crazy birther stuff, etc... When there questioned about what they are there for, it's a 100 different reasons without any concise cause or purpose. It'll be interesting to hear from a lot of those people on why they participated.

I mean, 1776 is long gone, are they mad at Government & the debt?
The original Tea Party was a protest of taxation without representation. The current Tea Parties are protesting the Government not listening to the people.

Ahh, Government not listening, is this something that people are just realizing?
In Canada, we have the same thing happening but people are becoming disilusioned with Governments & are staying away from the polls.
One good thing, they realize there is corruption on both sides of the political spectrum.
On the down side, the last federal election had only a 60% voter turnout a historic low.

That is why I am for repealing the 17th Amendment and am not in favor of Succession.
Succession would only leave the federal agencies and military power with our current federal government. The only answer to our problems is cession.
All of the collective states need to repeal the 17th Amendment so that we can replace party rule with state rule which is found in the Constitution.
Repealing the 17th Amendment reverts power back to the states and only allows the Government to operate by consent of the governed states.
I wish everyone would just vote new people in--no matter how good the previous senator/governor/congressman was...we need NEW blood in Washington. Upset the apple cart. Vote out all the incumbents, and you might eliminate a lot of corruption.
And party loyalty needs to be thrown out the WINDOW. If you vote a straight ticket, you need to reevaluate your voting practices, and make sure you're voting that way because you're INFORMED of each candidate's policies, not because you just "vote Republican" or "vote Democrat." I've been guilty of it, too--voting on the "safe side" because I didn't' take the time to research. That isn't really being true to American values, IMO.
