Actuallly..... it is kinda dumb. But I use it anyway. Not a big difference between Twitter and Facebook status updates though. I enter status updates in one place, and it updates both.

No, I am mainly referring to the huge lack of privacy we have now-a-days in total. I don't know that there is a thing we can do about it. I might end up giving in and joining all the stuff. But, the idea that people know so much at the push of a button is a little disconcerting to me. Maybe it's all I've been through. We were sued and when people sue you they get nasty. Any information in the wrong hands is dangerous.

I like facebook because you have the ability to post pics and talk via im to others or messages - - not just post an update of what you are eating now. LOL!

I did delete someone for saying they had coffee for breakfast. Who cares?!!!

Anyway, I'm on Twitter solely for the political updates. Love it!

Don't have time for Facebook or MySpace. Just want to cut to the chase and get 'er done!

Certainly valid concerns. I have been a victim of fraud and know the intanglements of lawsuits as well. I can't blame people for being hesitant, but most of what I post is pretty mundane.

And if you REALLY want to freak out about privacy, check out Google Latitude. I use it as well.

I never put up a profile. I don't have one here. I extend my life only as far as I want to extend it, especially in places where there is "consistent" controversy.

I read more on Twitter than I comment. I don't use it to post that I had a banana for breakfast. LOL! I'm very particular about my followers and who I am following.

Are you taking advantage of this new technology?
IMO, speed and brevity are inversely related to understanding and wisdom.

Does this stuff have a place in the big picture...total spectrum of life....probably so. But to call these kind of human transactions, 'communication' (or staying in touch) is a fallacy.

Just in case somebody missed my IMO, let me add another one.

This is my own opinion. Text messaging CONTRADICTS communication despite the geometric increase in the number of so called touches or connections.

I'm plenty well freaked out already.

People are sleeping while this is happening. It is scary.

That is neat if it updates both from one site. But I never liked status updates either. lol. Technologically it is interesting.
