Is this TIC? I wouldn't ask permission of anyone to pray anywhere, if I felt the need. No Christian should. When I pray, it's between me and God, even if its on a street corner.

This is not about individual christians being hypocrites. Do we get the implications of this or are we just going to implode on ourselves?

The article says they were praying in a "gay" district.
Quote:
A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

Why do Christians have to do that? Their prayers are just as effective at church or in a cell group setting. It's an "in your face" type deal just like picketing an abortion clinic.
I have never agreed with these methods and would never participate in such. They were asking for trouble with this group of people. As you have seen and already knew - they can become quite violent.
Hopefully, someday, we will learn there is power in prayer and we don't have to use "demonstration" to prove that God is on the throne.

The "frog in the kettle" reference has to do with the fact that I believe many Christians are understimating the nefarious agenda of the demonic radical HomoNazi movement, and the implications it could have for the church down the line as these people 1... become more and more physically confrontational with Christians, and 2... try to use the power of the law to further their persecution of, and hostility toward, the Church.
I believe confrontations like the ones we see on that video may just be the tip of the iceberg.

I agree, and I agree.

For sure, I wouldn't pick certain places to pray, unless God led me to do it. Sometimes people have good motives, without the power to back them up.

Exactly! We are beginning to look militant and that is going to hurt all Christians everywhere.

Just keeping the facts , facts. My father is a retired Judge! So I look at things from both side as I was taught to do!

It probably wasnt smart for them to go there like they did, but they didnt deserve to get their lives threatened either.

I think it was stupid, they are lucky they were only called names told to go! On the tape if you listen real close toward the end you can hear one person saying F$## Fags!
Quote:
(And the article does not describe them as Mormons, by the way)
|
On the tape they keep saying Mormons/ Christians!
I live ID, I know better then to enter into the skin heads parts of Hayden!

I think it was pretty peaceful! The cops were pretty laid back. I've seen marches become hostility, cops beating folks, etc. This by far was nothing!
They say Mormons/ Christians on the tape! I wonder if the word Mormons had been used in the article if this would even be an issues on here. Sense most don't deem Mormons as Christians anyway!

A group of people meeting in/near the street for whatever purpose requires a permit per most municipal codes.
