Shouldn't we wait until after his presidency is completed (or even until after his death) before we dedicate a national holiday to him?

A holiday for becoming the first black president?
When we get the first Hispanic president do we create a holiday for him too?
First Asian president... a holiday for him too?
First woman president.. a holiday for her too?

Where does it end?

Yes, Obama's presidency is definitely a milestone, but I dont think it really merits creating a national holiday.

Frankly, I think we have enough national holidays already.
We don't need another one for Obama, or any other president any time soon.

If another national holiday was created, it would not help me because at my job they would take away an existing holiday. They did that the last time a new holiday was created.
I once read that atheists had petitioned for a holiday for atheists and the judge said they already had a holiday. April 1.

I honestly doubt this will make it to the national level.

Of course, I read where they want to rename a mountain in the Bahama's Obama.

Bahama Obama - - has a nice ring to it.
