I asked him why he joined. He said, "Someone has to do it."

I talked with him the other day and asked him what he thought about the media. He said, "The media is a soldiers worst enemy."

Pretty smart fellow. He looks at things in a logical manner and I'm not worried about him. It's just that he has such a tender heart. I'd hate to see that change.

It'd be sad if he came back with a calloused heart. If I could, I'd be out there, too.
