When you vote think of a cemetery 100 miles long and 100 miles wide. That is what it would take to bury the babies slaughtered in our country alone.

This may have been the reference on the gun manufacturers in regard to Obama:
Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005)
This would be McCain's stand on that issue:
- Don't hold gun manufacturers liable for crimes. (Sep 2007)
- Voted YES on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence. (Mar 2004)
Below are a couple of glaring votes cast, by Obama, on gun control that give him a bad record against the 2nd Amendment. He says he respects the 2nd Amendment, but is okay with local gun bans. I am wondering how that would make sense? Criminals will find guns no matter a ban. It's the citizens that would then be unsafe.
- FactCheck: Yes, Obama endorsed Illinois handgun ban. (Apr 2008)
- Respect 2nd Amendment, but local gun bans ok. (Feb 2008)
McCain has much better sense on the gun control issue:
- Prosecute criminals, not citizens for gun ownership. (Sep 2007)
- Guns are a problem, but so are violent web sites & videos. (Aug 1999)
- Punish criminals who abuse 2nd Amendment rights. (May 1999)

Re: Thirty Reasons To Vote For John McCain
Other issues on gun control concerning Obama:
- Obama supports gun owner licensing and gun registration. (“Fact Check: No News In Obama’s Consistent Record.” Obama campaign website, 12/11/07).
Obama voted to limit gun purchases to one per month. (Illinois state senate, H.B. 2579, vote 34, 5/16/03).
Obama opposes four of the five Supreme Court justices who affirmed an individual right to keep and bear arms. He voted against the confirmation of Alito and Roberts and has stated he would not have appointed Thomas or Scalia. (United States Senate vote 245, 9/29/2005 and vote 2, 1/31/2006 and Saddleback Forum, 8/16/2008).
Obama voted for an Illinois State Senate bill to ban and confiscate “assault weapons,” but the bill was so poorly crafted, it would have also banned most semi-auto and single and double barrel shotguns commonly used by sportsmen. (Illinois Senate Judiciary Committee, 3/13/2003).
Obama has endorsed a complete ban on handgun ownership. (Independent Voters of Illinois/Independent Precinct Organization general candidate questionnaire, 9/9/1996. The responses on this survey were described in “Obama had greater role on liberal survey,” Politico, 3/31/2008).
Obama voted to allow the prosecution of people who use a firearm for self-defense in their homes. (Illinois Senate, S.B. 2165, vote 20. 3/25/04).
Obama supported increasing taxes on firearms and ammunition by 500%. That means the $500 Ruger you want to buy that currently has an excise tax of $55 would skyrocket to $330 tax. (Chicago Defender, 12/13/99). But that shouldn’t bug you, Obama backers, because you’re all about “spreading the wealth,” aren’t you?
Obama voted to allow reckless lawsuits designed to bankrupt the firearms industry. (United States Senate, S. 397, vote 219, 7/29/05).
Obama wants to reimpose the failed and discredited Clinton Gun Ban. (Illinois State Debate #3: Barack Obama vs. Alan Keyes, 10/21/04).
Obama endorsed a ban on all handguns. (Independent voters of Illinois/Independent precinct organization general candidate questionnaire, 9/9/96; Politico, 3/31/08).
Obama opposes the Right to Carry laws. (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, 4/02/08; Chicago Tribune, 9/15/04).
Obama voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. (United States Senate, S.397, 7/29/05).

In germany maybe. What are you smoking?
Those items listed abslutely are NOT current law, and would be unconstitutional and certainly violate the 2nd ammendment if they were.

If your faith is in God, then why participate in voting in this presidential election in the first place? People on this board act like this stuff is real, it is not. Everything in these campaigns is carefully scripted like a hollywood movie. There are no real choices, only the illusion of choice. Example: Sarah Palin was chosen to be McCains running mate back in February but they'll have you thinking that McCain chose her at the very last hour in August. It's all deception and lies and we as real apostolics shouldn't be participating in lies and deception. However, the difference/dangers involved with this election is that in all probability your going to have riots and bloodshed(if Obama doesn't get to be president)and I want NO part of it, especially when this whole election process is a big charade.

Re: Thirty Reasons To Vote For John McCain
Being a a Canadian and watching this since I am now in the USA shows me that BOTH SIDES have good arguments. If you give equal time to both sides, either one could convince you to go their way.
In my mind, neither is good enough for your president. And I do not like choosing the best of two wrongs.
