And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm .... And the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

2 Kings 13:21
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

Luke 7:12-15
Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man .... And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. John 11:39-44
Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days .... And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth.

Re: Did God ever command or desire praise or worsh

Are the laws of the Old Testament still binding? Guess it depends on who you believe.

Yes, they are binding forever.

Exodus 12:14, 17, 24
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. ... And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. ... And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

Leviticus 23:14,21,31
It shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.

Deuteronomy 4:8-9
What nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? ... teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons.

Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

1 Chronicles 16:15
Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ... an everlasting covenant.

Psalm 119:151-2
Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Psalm 119:160
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Malachi 4:4
Remember ye the law of Moses.

Matthew 5:18-19
Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall nowise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 16:17
It is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

No,

Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John [the Baptist]: since that time the kingdom of heaven is preached.

Romans 6:14
Ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 7:4, 6
Ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ .... We are delivered from the law, that being dead.

Romans 10:4
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

2 Corinthians 3:14
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:24-25
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Galatians 5:18
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Ephesians 2:15
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances.

Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances ... nailing it to his cross.

Re: Did God ever command or desire praise or worsh

Does God love sinners, or hate them?

How many times did the cock crow?

Did Jesus come to bring peace or the sword?

Should we love our enemies and hate our own family?

Should we judge people or not?

Will the prayer of faith heal the sick or not?

Will Jesus do anything we ask Him to or not?

Every contradiction and error in the Bible can be explained, with enough effort. And the effort is worth it, if you really, really want to believe the Bible. You see, we must believe the Bible. Why? Because the Bible says we must. Simple.

Mark Twain said there are "upwards of a thousand lies" in the Bible. But this is probably the biggest. How many desperate, frightened, broken-hearted parents have watched their children die while begging God to help? 7:7-8

Jesus gives his disciples "power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness." 10:1

Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea."
Jesus and Peter walk on water. You can too, if you have more than a little faith. 14:25

If your faith is great enough, you can move mountains around. 17:20

If your faith is great enough, you can not only kill fig trees but move mountains around, too. Whatever you ask for you will receive. (O Lord, won't ya buy me a Mercedes-Benz?) 21:21-22

Re: Did God ever command or desire praise or worsh

How many sons did Abraham have? Abraham had only one son. Abraham had more than one son.
Hebrews 11:17
By faith Abraham when he was tried, offered up Isaac, ... his only begotten son.

Genesis 22:2
Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, ... and offer him there for a burnt offering.

Genesis 16:15
And Hagar bare Abraham a son: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.

Genesis 21:2-3
For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son is his old age .... And Abraham called him Isaac.

Genesis 25:1-2
Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Galatians 4:22
Abraham had two sons; the one by a bond-woman, and the other by a free woman.

Re: Did God ever command or desire praise or worsh

these are lame questions, come on, get creative

-What did Jesus kneel down and draw in the sand?

-Was there ever anything prior to us?

-Will God ever create another world and/or another people ?

-Where was He and what was He doing between teaching in the tabernacle at age 13 till He started His ministry?

-When did Satan realize who Jesus really was?

-What does it feel like to be "caught up" by the spirit and transported somewhere else like Phillip was?

-Why wont God allow the saints eyes to be open all the time? (to see the presence of angels, etc)

-If the Holy Ghost could not be given till Christ was glorified, why didnt the Holy Ghost fall upon His assention? Why did the diciples have to go pray for it? They already believed..

-What does manna from heaven taste like?

I mean come on, get off the same ole scripture out of context, is the bible real, is God real garbage. Ask some questions with real thought to them. Not questions from an atheist pamplet.
