"Many Christians do not try to understand what was written in a verse in the Bible. Instead they approach the passage to prove what they already believe."
Unfortunately, those whom seek accolades have given an ill-reputation to all legitimate "hearers" of God. Many have damaged saints and pastors with their "thus saith the Lord" counterfeit verbiage, and for this reason many pastors abstain/prohibit this particular movement within their churches. However, no pastor should hinder victories of tomorrow with disappointments of yesterday, due to previous ill experiences.
Anyone claiming to receive granted permission from God to utilize profanity is ignorant. Can you conceive the idea of God or us needing profanity to convey a message?
Furthermore, after reading the following scripture, written within Paul's letter to the saints in Colossae, it was either carnalism or demonic influence that granted this female poster permission to utilize filthy language!
Col 3:8
80 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips
p.s. Pro 17:27 A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
Im not refering to a special office in the church that can hear God and everyone else can't. Im talking about ALL Holy Ghost filled believers. How do they know they have heard from God and not just their own feelings?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I guess that's somewhat of an accurate statement, seeing God overlooked Eli and spoke directly to Samuel during his childhood. If only some pastors would capture that revelation!

You align what you've supposedly received to the word of God. At other times you ask for confirmation.

How did Abraham know that God commanded him to sacrifice his son?

Yep. But hey, if you have a decision to make, and you want to know God's will, you could always just use Gideon's method: a fleece, left on the ground overnight. Better than a magic 8 ball!
