Re: General Conference

I have only been to two. New Orleans and San Antonio.

I went to some special session in NO and learned some interesting things for SS.

Re: General Conference

I see you guys go to the same ole cities that the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC) goes too. Wassup with that. Especially Greensboro. We have had Youth Congress there like 4 times in the past 6 years. We have recently done Holy Convocation (same thing as your General Conference) in St. Louis back in 2005. Can the Aposotlic Church not pick other cities that the saints can enjoy (however 2010 we are going to Orlando that is after we re-visit for the umteenth time Columbia SC which for us is every other year). Just my thoughts....nothing more.....oh and by the way I plan on flying to my first General Conference this year just not sure what days I'll be there. Any suggestions. I want to go the night that yall are known for having crazy church.

Not sure we are known for crazy church, but usually Thursday, Friday and Saturday night are the big nights. They are known for taking L-O-N-G offerings these days though.

I worked registration and my then husband worked in the finance area (offering/bookstore daily deposits).

We got our rooms, food allowance and flights free - wasn't a bad gig.

I didn't realize they did registration back then.

Good deal.

BTW...are they charging again this year?

It was the best job because I only had to do it the first couple days.
