good question ferd, some guys will move into an area where there are a lot of churches hoping to pick up enough members to start out, not good, cannibalization of others is no way to build, a healthy church especially, dt

The first thing that came to my mind is, I wonder if this preacher is a known and accpeted quantiy or if the WWPF leaders even know much about the guy?
Lord knows I am among the first to sharp stick the WWPF, but the guys leading this thing dont seem to be the type to do such a thing.
At one time he was well acquainted with the right wing part of the UPC.
A lot of wwpf people preached at our church in the 80s. I think he was, not sure of the term, general presbyter or something, where you vote on UPC things.
He still has connections. I don't want to say too much.
In my humble opinion, both men need to step away and settle their differences before they start a ministry or even continue in the one that has been started. You can not minister in your heart when you have an issue with your brother.
The Bible says that if a man says he loves God and hates his brother then he is a liar!

seems a call by one of these fellow pastors to the head of the WWPF is in order.

This is the PROBLEM with the institutional church. This is why it looks like such a sham. Men are out to build THEIR KINGDOMS and not GOD'S KINGDOM...they have no sense of saving souls, brotherhood, or mission.
This is why the house church movement is growing so quickly and so many believe that it's growth will soon far outpace the growth of institutional churches.
There's a church in UPCI Jackson County WV whose congregration consists of 60-70 percent of transplants. Another preacher across the river tried out for our church in 2000 and told us the reason why he should be our pastor was because he could get his extended family to attend our church. Needless to say we didn't vote the loser in. So he hops across the river and starts an upci church in that area. With 20-30 people, mostly family and a few from our church, he was elected a district home missions director. I knew a lady who attended that church. She said it was like pulling teeth to get them to do serious outreach. Not my idea of what a home missions director should be when all you can get to come to your church is family.

I have been the recipient of transplanted saints who were very talented, but eventually caused me a ton of trouble.
But, I have seldom had any trouble from folks that I won to the Lord.
It's been my experience that pastors who try and build churches on proselytes buy their own trouble eventually.

Ok, everyone got real quiet. I think it's fair to ask; why do we tolerate pastors like this when over 6 BILLION people are dying in the darkness? Why don't pastors beg more preachers to establish churches in the cities they supposedly have a "burden" for? Don't they want to see them saved? What's the deal? Really.
So is the WPF officially a denomination now? ...or is it still just a "fellowship"?
What exactly are they?
