Elder, while I understand to a certain extent your frustration, we must realize that we all make up the whole and have our role to play.

Your style of posting, while not mine, is distinctively YOU, and without your presence here, there would be tremendous void.

If you feel to take a break, fine, but please do not stay away too long.

Respectfully,

Barb

I was shocked that she had sense enough to do that to tell you the truth - she has been out of church for 3 years. This pastor of 10,000 people said - "I will say In the name of the Father, The Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost." She said - "Well - I have to be baptized in Jesus Name so if you won't baptize me the way Peter did - I just won't be baptized!"
You guys sometimes think we compromise EVERYTHING - but that is not true. I have NEVER baptized anyone any other way but in Jesus Name and never will!
High Five to your daughter!!

Bro, Just when I think one of my kids are not listening, and are starting to slip away, they come out with something like this, and blow my mind. I have trained them the best I could, and have given them to Jesus. He has done a great job in spite of me for all these years, so I can rest in the fact that he will complete his work in them.

Elder Epley...

I will miss your 'slant' on things around here- it helps keep 'balance'.

No one on ANY forum is going to change my way of thinking about God, or His word, or the way I feel about anything to do with my walk with God. I do see some danger in these forums if one is NOT grounded in what they believe as TRUTH, or if they are confused. If they seek answers here, instead of on their knees- they will remain confused no matter what direction they choose to take. The Holy Ghost is a guide- it will lead us into ALL truth- if we will make the sacrifice and die out to the flesh.

I appreciate you, brother...

God bless!!!

I will stand up to anyone making a challenge to what I believe. It hones my apologetic skills, and in the end result I just may learn something about what I believe and fortify what I choose to call truth or falicy.

I have no problem with folks tossing frilly beliefs left and right, but I also reserve the right to stand as Paul stood in the face of Peter when Peter was in the wrong.
Some of my posts may seem antagonistic and anti-pentecostal. I must admit that I no longer consider myself a pentecostal (as some of you may have discerned), but I have always followed the rules of the forum, as I understand them. I love Truth, and am seeking to know more of it. I am here under this provision in the rules: "We welcome and encourage visitors of other faiths to post and ask sincere questions in their honest search to learn more of our faith and about our wonderful Lord, Savior, and God whose name is Jesus Christ." If the admins feel that my questions are not "sincere", they are more than welcome to let me know, and I will honor their opinion and will leave, even if I don't agree. It's their playground!

But it seems to me that questions, even if they are intended as "challenges", would be welcome, and an opportunity to 1) hone your skills, as you said, in defending the Truth and 2) enlighten an "unbeliever" (as you folks may think of me).

I would hope that Elder's Epley and the rhyming guy would reconsider. If posts are made that they feel go against basic fundamental Pentecostal doctrine then they should contend for the faith.

If this becomes just an amen corner for a bunch of exUPCers then I have little interest of being here.

I have noticed that at times for a few days there will seem to be majority of lib posters and then another few days a majority of ultra con posters. During those days the board can appear to be slanted one direction or another and that may be what is causing frustration to the ultra cons.

I think the view that our AMF brethern, conservative GIB brethern, and conservative UPC brethern, add greatly to the discourse here and keep the sword on both sides of the spectrum sharpened.

I do too. I understand that there is now a conservative forum that many of the brethren post on, and also a UPC ministers forum that still more are posting on. The diversity of these forums since Jim Yohe's original FCF is what has kept me here. When that stops, I will slowly drift away too. Maybe the conservative forum will let me join, as I lean more towards them than the liberal side?
