I don't believe in "child abuse" - but having been raised with corporal punishment - and having raised my own children with corporal punishment. I believe there is a time and place for it. I hope that you are able to accomplish what you desire to do and not live to regret the day that you didn't swat her little behind when she may have needed it. I also know children who are very well behaved and are not spanked. I believe a lot of it depends upon the child and his or her temperament.

Personally - I believe a lot of what is wrong with America today began not only when they removed prayer from schools - but they removed corporal punishment from schools.

Nah - won't fire away I do disagree about corporal punishment in school though. If I'm not confident that I can trust myself not to discipline my children in anger, then I certainly don't trust a stranger to do it.

In the old days, it was done with a witness and parents were sometimes called to the school to discipline their children.
