So if gas went up to $10 a barrel, we should all just shrug our shoulders and say "who cares"? Please. Lets get real here.
Brother, it would be nice if gas was $10 a barrel. A barrel is 50 gallons! I could get myself a nice 4x4 with a big 460 cubic inch engine then!!!

I saw the error, and went ahead and corrected it.

Well, if they trust Halliburton, and I have many friends and family that work for them, why not give them the contract? It's a good company. That's how I felt about the bids in Iraq on that issue.

Right, good post. Our faith is what we survive on, now on to the debating/discussing/rationalizing.......

While I actually agree with the second paragraph of your post in context, my post was to believers. Yes, $10 gas would be a burden on Americans and it probably will because of who is likely to be voted into our Presidency, but for us believer's if you'll use your faith it should not be a burden on you.

On the flip side (1st paragraph), your comment "trying to express faith, which is admirable" is what most Christians say (as I said in the post, I always catch slack), but it is sad that so few Christians actually know how to use faith and do not understand what God has provided for them. In fact, they go so far as to try and run down people who are willing to actually live the faith life. It is a truly amazing thing to me.

Anyway, as the Bible says, "according to your faith so be it"

I know the North East is buying Wood-stoves/and Chimneys in record numbers. Two major stove manufacturers are back ordered 4 months at a time in the season when they are normally caught up and sending out orders in 2 weeks.

What effect is this having on the evangelists, who are not preaching this modern prosperity message, but are dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel? Some have left full time work to pursue the Lord's call, and I am concerned how this crunch will effect them?

I have a wood heater in my basement. I haven't burned wood since 1999 but it might be time to clean my chimney out and see if it still works!
