Re: ICJC Convention
My husband always says, some people get to big for their britches...but only in their eyes...
My husband is so down to earth...bless his heart. He sure loved the Dawson's too. A lot of American preachers don't seem to impress him but the Dawson's sure did.

Ya wait a minute. We are still in what some would consider the boonies and we love it. We have great church with great people and I can leave my four wheeler out and not have to worry about anyone stealing it.

Dude, seriously, where did you grow up? I will concede, it sounds like it qualifies more for the boonies than where I am from... ( I hate conceding)

Well, it was nice to finally win something! Too bad, it was this...
Here's a funny joke for you:
Two nuns were driving alone out in the boonies. They ran out of gas. Fortunately they could walk to a gas station not far away, where they asked to purchase a can of gasoline. "I'm sorry, sister," said the attendant, "but all I have for you to carry it in is an old chamberpot. The nuns agreed that this would be fine. They returned to the car.As they were pouring the gasoline into the tank, a man drove by, stopped his car, and said, "Oh sister, if only I had your faith."

Re: ICJC Convention
I think the official name of that organization is The Churches of Jesus Christ International. Bishop Mark Lawson chartered an organization named The Church of Jesus Christ in 1927. I was licensed in that group in 1959 for a while. Over the years there have been splits and fragmenting and today there are several different groups who have used the name of Church of Jesus Christ in some form or another. One group that I belonged to in the early nineteen sixties was called "The Church of Jesus Christ, Pentecostal Faith." Headquarters were in Niles, MI and our Presiding Bishop (Bishop Brock) pastored a church in Indianapolis, IN. The organization headquartered in Cleveland, TN who is having the conference at the end of this month is presided over by Boyd Lawson who is the son of the late Mark Lawson.
The organization has two web sites right now.
One is
http://www.angelfire.com/tn3/cojci/
If you go there it may take a while to load.
This is an older site that has not been updated in a couple of years.
A newer site which is still under construction is:
http://thecojcint.net/
