I use a VPN for work which is usually a problem but I am reading that the SSL VPN's work better and that is what I am using these days.

Wow...that is way too much money for so slow a service. I'd stick with cable or DSL if I have a choice

Where we are moving we don't have access to high speed internet through the Phone company or through cable companies.

I have heard that internet through the cable companies can be very fast when there aren't a large number of people in that area using that internet and that it can be slow if there are a lot of people.

Comcast reports losing thousands of customers a month due to Satellite & Phone competition so cable internet may be turning into the fastest deal out there.
FIOS is fiber optic and here it is through Verizon. Cable here is almost 6Mbps

I checked out Verizon too... they don't service our area.

Their cellular broadband is a few miles from here but not here. And I think it might be a worse deal than Satellite.

I know. But cable around here is slower and I can't even get that. This was the only choice I had. 500kbps seems very fast when compared to 28.8k dialup.

Moving to rural Arkansas. A town of about 1300.

I love it, love it, love it.

But, as this thread demonstrates, there are a few drawbacks.



I am considering starting an apostolic house church in the town when we move there. There is no oneness church in the town. There are churches in the nearby towns (20 miles either direction) but none in this particular town.

Do keep us in your prayers.

Get others to sign a petition and then turn it into the phone or cable company...if they believe they will have several customers there then it will be profitable

I certainly may try that.

Of course the road I live down is mostly old folks. Maybe they will sign it just to be nice to me.
