Re: Your Plans For Valentines

Just read this article on 90&9 and wanted to share it with the singles, it was cute, but also had some wisdom in it.

I am going to buy myself a box of my favorite chocolates and listen to the old song "Thank God and Greyhound, You're Gone"
...then my granddaughter will come over and we will fix our favorite meal.

I wish you lived nearby. This would be a fun party. We would even prepare your favorite meal for you!
Happy Valentine's Day.

Re: Your Plans For Valentines

I was making choco dipped pretzels for Walt to take to work for his birthday tonight when I ran out of chocolate. So I sent him to the store for more.

He came home with chocolate. And then haded me a bag and explained that he got this for me for Valentine's Day (with my money, by the way), but couldn't wait till tomorrow to give it to me. So he got me chocolate

Tomorrow night is ensemble practice at church and tonight the boys had Youth Bible Study, so we were alone tonight. So the chocolates were very appropriate and much appreciated.

Re: Your Plans For Valentines

My dad sent me a beautiful card with money to "have lunch on him"!

I'm his sweetheart!

I made heart-shaped sugar cookies and bagged them in pretty bags with hearts on them for my employees. Arranged all the roses in their vases, tied ribbon on them and have them ready to hand out when I get to work to my ladies too! I hope it brightens their day since the majority of them are single too.

And to answer the question asked earlier, no we aren't celebrating Valentine's Day. We are just spreading some love on Feb. 14th!

Re: Your Plans For Valentines

When we got home from church last night, There were four bouquets of flowers on the kitchen cabinet (and a rocket-toy for Jeffrey)--1 dozen red roses for me, 1 dozen yellow roses for my mother, 3 pink roses for Sarah & 3 pink roses for Hannah!

I thought that was it--and the flowers were very pretty, and when I went into our room, there was a big silver bucket full of everything red--red gum, red shower gel, red hairbrush, wildflower mix, red toothpaste & toothbrush, red Valentine's card, red hummingbird feeder and syrup (we love hummingbirds, and attract lots of them in the spring/summer). I told Jeff that he did good.

Also, he bought my mother yellow roses, not knowing that was the color my Dad always bought her, so she really melted over that!

All in all--a good pre-Valentine's Day!!!!
