Re: Tornado Pictures

Yes, I just heard on CNN that George Bush will visit on Friday "the areas hit by the tornadoes"...Surely that will include Jackson since it is one of the hardest hit.

After typing this I did hear that he was planning a trip to Jackson in particular.

I'm so glad that you and your family are safe.

My prayers are going out to all of you that were in the tornados.
NLP posted a few pictures of the UPC in Jackson .....so sad!

Did the Casey Jones Resturant survive the storm? My parents always enjoyed stopping there to eat and shop.

Re: Tornado Pictures

So much for living in a small town.

Glad it wasn't worse than it was.

Sherri, are you all okay?

Casey Jones is alive and well. There is so much grease there from the fried cornbread that a tornado would just slide right on over.

Yes, thanks, we're fine. We had awesome church tonight; such victory in the air, tongues & interpretation, prophecies, etc. etc. The people are excited that the enemy is defeated!!

Eddie & I had baseball size hail at our house, so we're not sure about the roof yet, but at least nothing came inside! We were blessed.

Wow! I remember when we had marble size hail raining down. I was jumping up and down and screaming - MY CAR, MY CAR!!!

My husband said, "You can forget it. I'm not getting pummeled to save your car!"

When my son is at home, his car sits outside because we only have a 2 car garage. I'm so glad that he was at college during this and that both of our cars were protected. So much to be thankful for tonight.

One lady at our church had her old Lincoln damaged by hail during a tornado a few years ago. She couldn't afford to get it fixed, so she drove it like that for a long time. We called her car "Dimples". It became kind of a church pet!

Re: Tornado Pictures

There is a hole in the hot tub cover where a piece of hail went through it and it is about 3-4 inches across. It was SCARY!

Re: Tornado Pictures

I had to drive five miles through a hailstorm once. Finally got to a town and a gas station. Soon as I got there it stopped. Glad y'all are okay.
