I'm also hearing that Charlie Crist will more than likely be chosen as his running mate. He is wildly popular in Florida, which the GOP will surely need if it wants to win in November. He is a moderate and McCain will need someone to reassure the conservatives.

Romney looked great again tonight.
One thing McCain, well two things, had on Romney was the "surge" in Iraq. Romney wasn't for it only because he didn't think it would help him politically. McCain stood his ground on the surge even when he lost some of his campaign staff over it.
He also got him when Romney mentioned "timetable" concerning Iraq. Even though it is a political buzzword of the moment, it still made Romney look like he was not an all-out supporter of the surge. Even if Romney was not calling it a firm timetable, it still appeared that way.
Whether McCain was right about that or not, it's too subtle of a dig to prove, but we can be sure that Romney would have used that against McCain if he could have.

I don't care who conducted the poll or how large their sample was . . . this is completely meaningless. With better than six months until the general election anything could happen. Even the exit polls on election day can't accurately call anything.
McCain might not be a communist, but the some total of what all is buried in his psyche is not much better.
If it is McCain vs. Obama, I may very well vote for Obama just so the leftists get all the blame for the next four years' worth of calamity and stupidity.

Send the women folks back home from Washington. They are needed around harth and home. Women wearing breeches do not impress me as leaders, nor do they inspire confidence or instill visions of greatness.
You, my friend, have a GIFT.
Wait here for just a moment, and a couple of sweet li'l gals will be along to 'exchange gifts' with you . . . .
