I don't know if we will have a tree. We will be gone for 3 weeks so I don't know if it would be a fire hazard to keep a dry tree lit for three weeks.

Jeannie.............. I love the idea of your "David Tree"! What a special idea for a youngster!
Thank you!

I have never did this before, but the tree was only $9.99,a string of 50 lights were $1.89 and I just used all my non breakable ornaments from when my other 2 boys were small.

It gave him something to do, for a little while anyway!

Great thread! Beatiful trees!!
I love your tree Renda!! Is it an artificial tree? If not, what type is it?

I love to decorate my tree right after Thanksgiving. My favorite thing to do is to get up early in the morning while it is still dark and everyone is still sleeping and drink my coffee and enjoy the tree.

Thanks! I took a picture my new camera (just like yours), but haven't downloaded it yet - hope it will be a little clearer.

Yes, it's a 9.5' artificial tree - I really like the slimmer trees. Works great for me in an apt.

I sat here looking at my tree and thought of sharing it...then I remembered..I didn't decorate it. My 6 year old and 8 year old had alot to do with it!! Some of the ornaments are hanging on the very bottom of the tree and look off centered. There are a couple of spots where there are three of the same ornaments right together. I still haven't gotten around to fixing it to my liking. I usually do this "re-arranging" when they are not around. They have so much fun decorating it...and so far they do not notice when I "fix" it.

Oh, leave it. You'll have plenty more times that it'll just be you decorating it and you'll wish it was obvious they'd been there doing it.

Walt does the same thing with ours. He picks with it and picks with it and picks with it. He'll still be re-arranging things on Christmas Day!
