Medicinal herbs taken long turn can harm the body just as medicine can. The herbs you take on a consistent basis should be whole food grade herbs. By whole I mean they have five parts: fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals. If they do not have all five parts your body will start leaching what it is missing from your tissues. You will feel great at first, but over the long run it will start to weaken your body. If you are taking vitamin supplements your body is leaching the other 4 parts from from your tissues. Eating a diet that is rich in raw foods and cutting down on your cooked foods will help a lot.
I've never heard this before. PLease back it up with some references. Thanks.

I'm into a lot of the natural stuff. It's hard to know what works and what doesn't sometimes though. Last year I had two sinus infections first time in my life. This year I am using nasal rinses and none so far...

I have warded off several colds this way. However, I've found that if you don't catch it with the first sniffle or two, it won't do much good.
I have also taken mega doses of Vit C through the years to prevent a cold . And
as has been stated, there's no serious danger since it is water soluble and leaves the body.

Good rty but we've eaten venison as the main stay red meat for years and my husband has high cholesterol. BUT!! If he ate beef it would probably be HIGHER!!
They say high cholesterol is often the result of too little fiber.
Genetics also has a lot to do with it.
But I'm glad he eats venison!

I try to take Vitamin B supplements. I'm not very religious about it, but with the crazy diet that I'm forced to follow and the crazy schedule I need all the help I can get. I just picked up a bottle of fish oil because it occurs to me that I haven't been eating much fish. These tabs are huge! Like little sardines themselves.
I think the schedule is the worst culprit of all. We make so many compromises just to keep a schedule.
In the mid-90s, after some tests, I was told my arteries were 50% blocked. I did not have medical insurance, so my wife and I put me on daily (at least two heaping tablespoons) granulated LECITHIN. (We purchase it at our local health food store.)
Two years ago the heart cath I received showed my arteries were completely clean and clear.
We heard about this from a lady that owned a health food store in Burien Washington. She said her husband found that his arteries were clogged pretty bad. She said she and he had him start on daily Vit C, garlic, and Lecithin. She said when he finally died (from other causes), the autopsy showed his arteries were completely clean.
