Sis Heavenly, it may not be good for my diabetes, but it tastes good. Need some nourishment. Just happy to have something after all.

Now, you need a Santa hat!

Sadly, I cannot eat more than one bite of oatmeal in one sitting. Does weird things to me.

And I'm waiting on my hat!

On a side note, can I ask how your blood sugars are doing and if they are stable and in a good range?

If you've never seen what happens to a diabetic's body when they haven't taken care of themselves for several years, it'll be a rude awakening. I just want to make you aware that it's not pretty, and men, especially single men, aren't known to care for themselves adequately when it comes to their health.

Very true! Just lost my mom not long ago and even though the immediate cause of death was not the diabetes it sure was 99% of it. Please if anyone is diabetic take care of yourself you can change things if you try!

It's my opinion that very few people with diabetes die from that disease. They die from complications of having diabetes, but not from diabetes alone, if you follow what I'm saying.

The kidneys, eyes, and heart are most affected by high blood sugars. One can live without eyes, but I've not seen anyone with just eye problems and diabetes.

In addition, they are more prone to infection, don't heal well, and have greater risk for heart disease.

Now look what I've done to Bill's thread!!!

I'm trying, bro. I admit I'm not the Christian I should be sometimes.

They say that admission is the first step towards HEALING.

btw, what if a doc says you are diabetic, and your readings always average around 123, no meds prescribed just diet awareness..can that still be considered diabetic enough to 'cause problems?
