Well Trump definitely has the resources to investigate. Will give late night writers material for sure, and the left will spin this every way they can to make Donald look like an idiot. It may cost him big time as far as getting taken seriously as a candidate. But perhaps many feel it is worth it.

It seems to me that his private investigators won't be able to "find" anything that everyone else hasn't found already. Obama has a legal birth certificate from Hawaii. The newspapers of the day included birth announcements for him.

About the only argument against this would be either coadie's theory on time travelers planting the birth announcements or coadie's misunderstanding of an April Fools joke on Pajamas TV.

Either way, Trump just ends up looking like Trump: a grandstanding egoist who isn't too ashamed to roll around in the gutter to collect a few votes.

Trump obviously thinks that most Americans are idiots. My only concern is that he may be right.

Obama set up his victory as a vote against Bush and not a vote against McCain. In gov races last fall, many underdog Republican Governors won because people were speaking aginsts Obama politics.
