Re: Hurricane Gustav

Praying for all those living in the path of this storm. It's been very windy and the rains have started here on the southwest coast of Florida. I can't imagine what is in store for those living near where this storm makes landfall. Be safe all. Let us hear from you all as soon as you can after this is all over.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

The Red Cross has set up here in Mineola. We already have some evacuees, I saw them this morning on my way to church. Praying for all to be safe.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

They have changed our area from a watch to a warning. They are now saying the storm could go more west and be much closer to us.

The eye of the storm is NOT very well formed at this time and when it reforms I guess they will know more as to which direction it will take.

I pray we will be safe and believe that God's hand of protection is upon us.

Thanks for all your prayers.

P.S. IF you don't see me on for awhile later it COULD be we are out of electricity.

When Rita came through my neighbor said it took them 30 days to be able to get back in.

We've been praying the same thing here.... God could just speak peace, and the storm would have to obey.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

Just heard from our church. They are offering the church fellowship center for any members that need to evacuate. There are several that are taking them up on it, because of so many low lying areas. God Bless to all- we covet your prayers- Everyone stay safe!

Re: Hurricane Gustav

Joie- I was wondering about your relatives. I remember the reunion in Bogalusa. We have relatives in Franklinton- My husband's niece and nephew pastor the church at Stateline. I am glad they are safe. I feel sure they will be OK in Mobile. The latest word I got from my niece and nephew in NO is that they got out this morning.
