But they offer the program he wants (computer science degree with a sub-specialty in video and game animation technology)
We made the trip last Friday to look at Shawnee. Justin really liked it alot. The other school he's interested in is in Flint, Michigan. (Baker College).
Some of where he goes will depend on the financial package that Shawnee offers. So I guess we'll see.............

He needs to come on over to Indiana and attend Indiana University East!!! And then you could come and visit him and we can see each other!!!

Re: Gabby's
I am away from my desk for the most part of this week, but I am missing posting on here! I have access to the internet where I am but I am out in the Lobby surrounded by people so it is not really a place where I can sit and chat online! Lol! But Thursday afternoon I'll be back to chat and give updates!

He hasn't completely settled on Shawnee yet, but he's leaning that way VERY strongly
I'd LOVE it if he came to Indiana University because I have an aunt and a cousin who live in your area and I've never even made it down to visit their houses! We'd have a built in place to stay if he came there

I know we offer a computer science degree, but sure what all falls under it.
Our website is http://www.iue.edu
Let me see if I can find direct links to our costs & degrees. Would you guys qualify for Financial Aid?

Here is a direct link for tuition & fees: http://http://www.iue.edu/administration/bursar/
Where exactly do you live? We give instate tuition to certain counties in Ohio. I'll see which ones they are.
Here is a direct link for degrees in that area: http://http://www.iue.edu/administra...ng/forms.shtml - is now named "Information Systems".

Thanks, QE, I'll check these out.
Unfortunately, no, we don't qualify for any financial aid so far. According to the FAFSA we make just a touch too much. Geesh! I wish they took into account the fact that we had a major incident recently (Walt's aneurism) that about wiped out any extra funds we had built up. I'm grateful that all of the bills from the aneurism are completely paid off, but at the same time, we're really having to scramble now to build our nest egg back up so we can eventually someday retire.
We live in Fulton County, so we're not on your in state list. I looked at your tuition costs earlier, but I'm guessing those were in state costs.
Do you have student housing? I didn't see a link for that anywhere?

Re: Gabby's
By the way, QE, have I ever asked you if you've ever heard of a pastor by the last name of Wyatt? He pastored and was the director of the children's home I worked at in Barbourville, Kentucky. When he left Barbourville, he moved to Richmond and I believe pastored a church there. It would have been a trinity Pentecostal church. I'm just curious if he might still be around. That was over 25 years ago, so he could be gone by now.

Re: Gabby's
Carey, did you ever meet with your MIL about her mother? I'm curious how that went. Can you share with us?

Unfortunately we do not offer student housing...yet! But there are apartment complexes around that give our students discounts.
If you aren't on the list for getting In-state tuition you would probably be paying a HIGH price!
