I hate that anyone was made to feel bad about what they were wearing
in a church service. At least she showed up.I had someone do this to a person
I was working with and it caused a horrible family issue that took years
to right.Someone stood in the pulpit, not my pastor, but a visitor who was
a friend of one of the saints and was elderly and said,I thank God our women
don't put on pantsuits." Well my dad and his girlfriend were visiting and she
had on a pants suit outfit. It was about all she had to wear.He was so hurt
that she would not come back as it embarrassed her badly. My pastor could
do nothing because it was already out of the mans BIG FAT mouth.Sorry
but I really hate what that man said. This lady got alzheimers and never
understood salvation.Thankfully my dad got saved later.

Now, this is the problem. We settle back to gender distinction because somehow it's easier for us to explain?
That can't actually wash because the majority of woman that wear pants are not trying to act like, live like or even want to be like a man.
Having said that I can emphatically say that pants are generally not as modest as a dress. For our young people the choices are just horrible. And for that matter, they are horrible for the skirts too!
I can only say, "Don't preach to people wearing pants, when the saved youth are painting on their skirts." It just doesn't make sense to the unsaved or the boys in the church. There's that visual thing again.
