Dan's 'evidence'(?) is by a biased man who porfesses his biases.

These are Greek professors that do not have a dog in the fight. Just saying what the word means.

Iam not quoting men who are of my stripe what would that prove????

But a Greek professor at Athens, Greece that should bear some weight eh?

Whatever! Context is not hard to find. You don't need to be a Greek Scholar to understand Acts 2:38.

People look at scripture like clouds. The longer they stare at them looking for more than what is there they start see things that aren't there.

The Bible is right. And this verse simply says to "repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins...."

So many have gone astray because of what I like to call "late night Bible college common area theology".

I believe in studying the word and analyzing scripture. But some are so plain, why argue like a bunch of scientist trying to come to a conclusion to a theoretic idea.

This scripture is easily understood. Just let the Word speak for itself. Debate the things that need it and not the foundations of solid bible teaching.

Don't classify please these Biblical (not extra-biblical) with Cain and Abel's wife etc....

Let this be over.

The simplicity is what is so funny everyone reading the verse can understand what it means except the Baptists.
