I don't want to belittle anyone or group, but as a conservative young person I've noticed in our ring of fellowship(mostly independent some upc) that at conferences and other events the ones that are generally dressed to the nines are those that are the well known young people who are generally used on the platform. Many of them, not all, often carry themselves as if they're better than others. When I visit the upc events in my area I notice that many of the young people don't dress up too much for services, but ones that do haven't exhibited a better than you attitude toward me.

To me it depends on the person's attitude some dress to the nines ,some do not ,personal preference is involved.
If a person can afford high -dollar clothes ,that is his affair.

The Bible should be our guide in all things even how to dress...We fuss about this and that..how long the sleeve when the Bible is silent (yes, I wear long sleeves) but where the Bible speaks we try to explain away...

Basically we should be modest and dress in a manner that glorifies Christ ,yes we fuss over something when only a few verses in the NT.mention attire.I think only 3.

Maybe it is you feeling inferior and not them acting superior...just a thought!

God is silent on things because it isn't important to Him...we think God should say more, and we put words in God's mouth...how very arrogant of us!

Where God speaks, I agree Sis. Alvear, we need to be careful not to add to nor take away from...but if God says it...it is forever settled in heaven!

Love & Blessings, Rhoni
