I honestly believe that the concpet of standards is brilliant because it is self regulating. There is nothing like a women hiding as you walk by because they are wearing something they shouldn't be as a nother apostolic walks by.

glory.
Paradoxical? Perhaps. But Paul stated "I had not known sin but by the law." (And for those who will cry LEGALIST! I am not positng that as a matter of LAW as much as a matter of PRINCIPLE.)

Yes, and one thing that Apostolics miss is that if you embrace one portion of the law, you will be judged by the entire law...as a matter of principal too. This is also true in most every area of business academics and life. You cannot have conclusivity using subjective data, you simply cannot. The strong chain and the weakest link and all that.

Really? Do you really think that applies to the entire law or just the ceremonial portion?

As far as conclusivity using subjective data I do believe it can be done if one knows how to delineate aspects one from another that have enough merit and strength to stand on their own.

I believe it applies to every principal, situation, application, that Paul intended it to when talking about the difference between the law and grace.

We both agree that using the scripture in Deut as the sole reason for women to not wear pants is ridiculous...even though I believe the overall result different than you do I am sure.

If inconclusive and subjective data are used to draw any conclusion the conclusion CANNOT be more objective than your data, therefore your conclusion is ALSO subjective and inconclusive. Also, you cannot segregate data and analyze it away from the control or the purpose of the test.

You cannot pull a word out of a line upon line and preceptual concept that is consistent through scriptupre and expect to create a conclusive doctrine from it.

You can if it does no injury to the whole and yet stands alone.

Further, if one uses conclusive and non-subjective data then your conclusions will be conclusive. I think we ended up speaking past each other here.

Re: Now, it's your turn!

B. Kendricks father preached Ventura camp last year. The audio is on their website at the link below. The title of the sermon is "What King Do They See" It is a great message to understand his brand of conservative.

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Hollywood seems to be a code word by some to mean "ungodly stuff".

San Fernando Valley is Porn capital of the world according to some so we can use the word "San Fernando" when referring to the internet. But of course we know that not all stuff that is on the internet is porn
This seems to point out the problem with attempting to legislate everything. Words do have meaning, but often times they can have differing meanings.

When television was introduced it only could propagate a single media - the broadcast signal. No TV meant no way to receive the signal. But now we have signals within signals and all types of media that can be used to propagate a "TV-like" program. So for many people, when you say "No TV" you're telling them "No pictures of the grandkids from across the country..."

It's better to preach principles. Technologies change and industries can move to other towns.

It appears as though they have taken down all their media. They had several sermons from Jonathan Alvear, Phil White, etc. Maybe they decided they not to let them be heard or else become victims like SG.
