Sadly some in today's society would. I'm not big on welfare. I think some assistance like WIC and food stamps should be there with work/education and time limit requirements...and only on the state level.

I feel health care is the biggest problem because it drains poor working families of money they need to survive. It also drains small businesses and corporations in ever rising expenses to cover employees. We as individuals need to pay into our own health insurance via single payer or individual accounts. To make this possible it's going to take paying for it through taxation (Democratic Plan) or health care tax credits (Republican Plan). Either plan. It doesn't matter. The current one is broken.

My husband works oilfield and has for 15 yrs.. you would be literally astounded at how much oil we have here in the US right now...

I have heard about Oregon and about Colorado but the Colorado/Oklahoma border is big big big right now... I think every single company we know of has people there or headed there very soon...

The west tx area is huge for the directional drilling right now and has been for about 3 yrs now and then the beaumont area is picking up real good again too...

There is also a lot being found right in the city areas of Dallas and Ft Worth again...

If they are willing to be considerate to the environment (which I believe most are today) I believe they should be allowed to drill. In my opinion the Republicans have the strongest case regarding this issue. The Democrats are simply overreacting. They can drill and protect the environment at the same time with modern technologies.
