Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
I chatted with a 103 year young lady today. She said that Harry and Maud Morse would pick her up and give her a ride to church. Since she was skinny, she sat up front between Harry and Maude.
She describes Harry as a wonderful pastor who was brilliant. Her other details of the church and school matched other data I have.
Hopefully, she will send a copy of a picture she has of the 3 of them together.
This event is of profound importance. Her church has no phone listing or online presence at all. I gave up trying to contact the church.
Now I have a few leads and a possible pic or two.
On other news...Eva Wagner superintended a mission in Oakland in 1929 and 1930. Her primary focus was on children. She also preached a revival in Bend, Oregon. Morse did the same thing. I thought they may be connected.
The data says she was in Oakland for 2 years and then in one revival in Oregon. I cannot find any other data about her. A dead end for now. I had thought she was a former Morse student. But I cannot prove it.
John Berg attended the Azusa Street mission. His name came up today. It is the first anyone has herd of him. He ended up pastoring a church in Loomis, Ca.
Harry Morse knew Harriet Marling. She lived in Bend, Oregon from 1925 until 1975. Harry preached there in 1935 and in 1937. Not sure how they knew each other. She lived in Lodi, Ca prior to moving to Oregon. That may have been the connection. Not sure.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
I'm still typing up bible college notes from 1930. I turned the page and found out that Frank Ewart taught a few lessons. His lesson ?? 7 Steps to the Throne. I did not check, but Ewart must have been in town for a revival.
I am about 80% done typing up the notes. After that, analysis.
The notes are dated, and if there is a teacher other than Morse, the new teachers name is recorded. Classes were not every day. I will wait to discuss content until I am done typing them up.

Is it online on the google server? If not there are several free hosting services available. Or you could go with Scribd?
If you are posting documents you could possibly start a simple Wordpress (free!) blog and just upload the stuff there as either html, pdf, or perhaps even .doc or something?

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
A V Kelley and Jimmy S. Davis both pastored the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church back in the 1945-52. No, not at the same time !!
Anyone know these ministers ? Davis began pastoring there in 1945. Kelley ended his pastorate there in 1953.

Knew Jimmy Star Davis. He founded a church at Lamont and pastored there until he died. He pastored his 4 brothers who all became pastors and built great churches in Southern Ca. Also pastored Elder Carl Ballestero who became a noted preacher.

Elder Juan Alvear Sr. (Father of Jonathan Alvear) Pastored there some time after Elder Davis. I'm not sure who was after eld. Davis but eld. Alvear came sometime after. When Alvear died, eld. Paul Blatto took the church. When he died, various good men filled in to help. Now Elder Dennis Mantooth pastors there, the town is now called Lamont, and the Church is Called Apostolic Tabernacle. Great Church, very Apostolic in every way!
8901 Weedpatch Hwy, Lamont, CA, 93241
Many saints still there from the Davis years.

For a season Bruce Davis filled in under his uncle Howard Davis. Maybe a year?
