Re: Why I'm Against Perry
I like how Cain and no one in the GOP is not presenting Cain as the Republican black answer or foil to Obama.
Cain's words and business record speaks for itself and no one (except those on the left) is mentioning his race. Neither are there discussions of racial implications on the right.
He's a conservative, businessman running for President. He and the GOP's response to his candidacy is refreshing.
For the person who wanted to compare Christie to Perry.
Christie strikes me as a take-charge kind of guy.
Perry strikes me as that pushy, loudmouthed bully from Middle School who I was glad to see finally get his rear end handed to him by that quiet guy that no one really messed with.
Romney appears more Presidential, but I will not vote for a mormon, jw, muslim, or Jew for President of the United States.

When you read the debate transcripts, Romney has nothing of substance on paper. What he looks like means nothing to me.
But, you need not worry, FoxNews and the GOP Establishment will, more than likely, get Romney. That is who they are telling the people to vote for.
His stand on Global Warming is not going to push us into a good Energy plan, but you get what you vote for.
I am not opposed to Cain getting the nomination, I just don't think he will get it. If he did, it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit.
As Bobby Jindal states, "Perry has a consistent Conservative record." That is who I will be voting for in the Primaries.

Exactly! Thank you, Rush!
RUSH LIMBAUGH OUTLINES THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT. And conservatives are falling for it.
State of the Race: Establishment and the Regime Rally Around Mitt Romney
October 11, 2011
"Romney, for his part, is now pushing Herman Cain. "If you can't vote for me, vote for Herman Cain. I like Herman Cain," and the reason he's doing this is to get rid of Perry. He wants Perry out of the equation. Because he's decided he'll have a much easier time against Herman Cain 'cause Herman Cain doesn't have any money. . . . . .
"I do know that the Republican establishment is desperate for Romney to be the nominee and to have this wrapped up as soon as possible, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the reasons why Christie's going up there to Dartmouth to endorse Romney today.
They're doing everything they can to make sure -- you know, Bachmann, Santorum, they're not in the top tier now, but they want to make sure they stay.
Perry is the only genuine conservative threat to Romney, and this is an effort to take him out.
You got Herman Cain who is going to be promoted, talked up, because if Herman Cain supplants Perry, the thinking is Herman Cain doesn't have anywhere near the organization or the money to compete with Romney."

Re: Why I'm Against Perry
Mitt Romney is a hypocrite for saying that Texas In-state tuition is a magnet for illegals when he has HIS OWN!
How many illegals say, "Aye! I going to Texas so my kid can go to college?" Puleeze!
They will say, "Aye, I am going to the US to get free healthcare!"
HYPOCRITE!!

Re: Why I'm Against Perry
Rommey is just a hair breath better than McCain. Both are way to liberal for me.
I don't think Perry is perfect but would choose him over all the others except Newt if I thought he had a prayer of a chance to win. He has the intelligence to run this country, IMO.

Newt would be my second choice by far. Still in the tank for Perry. He has a consistent record and Romney certainly does not. He is backtracking his view on the Flat Tax since Perry is getting ready to roll it out tomorrow. Figures - big flip-flopper. There are absolutely no guarantees that Romney won't turn left if he gets elected.
Good review for both Perry and Newt at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition forum:

Governor Rick Perry’s campaign is making news today in anticipation of his flat tax release tomorrow. He’s adding national staff, but not just any staff — staff that led insurgent bids against the GOP establishment.

Re: Why I'm Against Perry
I've never dropped in on this thread until today and I read a little bit of the latter part of the discussion. It kind of reminded me of a mass media outlet. You know... virtual news black out on any mention of Ron Paul.
He doesn't exist.
I guess we are what we consume huh?

It's because we don't want him for our president.
