Twisp- You are absolutly correct. But the issue of natural born citizenship is not the same as citizenship. Natural born citizenship is citizenship on steroids.
It requires that BOTH parents are American citizens at the child's birth. The intent of the framers of the Constitution was that no one could be president who might have divided loyalties.
The 14th amendment doesn't require both or even one parent to be a citizen if their child is born here.

Since July 7 they for some spurious reason even changed where they claimed the birthplace of Obama to be.
My company has retained a legal immigration firm for times when we bring a professional to work in the states. This isn't new. It cost a lot of money to just get clearnac for some. Snopes is not a legal entity.

Why would I beleive anything without a doc's signature? Why in the world would someone in medicine accept an item generated in 2007 regarding a hospital matter from 1961. No hospital name or confirmation. None. That is proof? You are not close to serious.

That would mean that this DLN was issued in 2008. The DLN on the computer screen printout is the exact same number, except an 8 has been added to make it look like it is from 1980 and give it a 1980 DLN number. And 1980 is the year Senator/President Elect Obama is said to have timely registered. So, why does the machine-stamped DLN reflect this year (2008) and the DLN in the database (which was manually input) reflect a "corrected" DLN year of 1980? Were all the DLNs issued in 1980 erroneously marked with a 2008 DLN year or does the Selective Service use a different DLN system then the rest of the Federal Government? Or was the SSS Form 1 actually processed in 2008 and not 1980?

As much fun as it would be to continue to prove that coadie hasn't proved anything, I'm moving on. It's absurdity backed by nothing but the right wing nutty blogosphere and that type of "proof". Obviously, coadie's "proof" hasn't made it to a federal court house because it's bunk.
The executive privilege excuse is foolish. It was clear in January of 2008 that BO was going to compete for the Dem. nomination, thus giving the GOP and RNC 11 months to pursue the legality of his citizenship. Logic assures us that they did vet it and that there was nothing to disqualify BO from the Presidency or they would have used it against him. I'm sure his fierce rivals in the GOP wouldn't have waited until the election was lost to pursue that matter. That's logic.
When and if a U.S. court decides this is worth hearing, I'll comment further. Until then, I'm going to bow out of this rumor mongering distraction that coade, newman and the others who are still upset about the election would like to continue talking about. There depleted party got it's collective tail handed to it in the election and it's a bitter pill for them to swallow.
Until it's brought before a court, I'll consider it wild speculation fueled by a deep dislike/hatred of Barack Obama.
