I am not a pessimist, I am a faith preacher, but this must happen sometime, to someone, why do we think that we are any better than any other generation.

Wow. You really made some strong counterpoints to my post there. As far as how I vote, you don't have a clue. I have voted against the GOP before locally and in state-wide elections. I have voted twice for our Democrat Governor here.

The sad part is, he seems to really believe that stuff.

You'd almost hope he was kidding.... but he clearly was not.

Please tell us more about what the REAL Christians are out there doing. You know, most of us are phonies and we are led by nutjob preachers that are bringing on the judgment and wrath of God as a result of their manipulation of their congregations to vote Republican for financial gain!

So REAL Christians are ambivalent to the issue of homosexuality? Man I've got to have a change of heart! I've got to quit being concerned for them and counseling with young men that don't want that lifestyle even though they struggle with the tendencies and lusts. I guess I better cancel my weekly sessions with them and apologize for showing my concerns and trying to steer them away.... and PHONY Christians are afraid of gays? That bothers me because I am terrified of homosexuals! I'm phobic about it!

Antsy---you ought to write a book called "REAL CHRISTIANS" and outline for us what that means so the rest of us FAKES can get a grip, lay down our nets and come and follow YOU!

There are times when I want to leave church and never return because I know I'm not welcome unless I'm a Republican. And I've warned every one of my Democratic friends never to visit an Apostolic church because they will be hated. That's just the plain God's honest truth. Because in America...the vast majority of our churches are nothing but right wing political action committees...and I'm not afraid to admit it or warn people about it. I've even had my car vandalized by church members in the church parking lot last election because I opposed George Bush.

It's all a joke...and most are self deceived into thinking they're being Christians. No... sadly many are just Bible toting pawns of the Republican party.

PAAAAAAAALLLLLLLEEEEEEZZZZEEEEEEE!

Your generalizations and judgmentalism are the very thing you condemn! My dad is one of the strongest Apostolics I know and he is a dyed in the wool Democrat! He is a big fan of Clinton, only voted for a Republican once in his life for President (Nixon '72) and used to be on his county's Democrat Party Committee. My friend works in a strong Apostolic Church in Oklahoma and he tells me they have to be careful about politics because so many Okies are registered Democrats even UPC folks (I read once in 2004 that the state is about 70% Democrat). They tell visiting ministers to be careful not to speak against Democrats or praise Republicans (good advice for any preacher IMO). Sorry about your car. Sorry about people being hateful. Sorry about your luck. But maybe when you go to church you should keep your political opinions to yourself like you esnt everyone else to do, worship the Lord, enjoy the fellowship and preaching, and then go home and plant all the Obama signs or whoever you support all over the neighborhood and register a few illiegal immigrants on your own time and then you wont invite the idiots that show up to church that would do such dumb things to act like the fools they are.

But please, stop the UPC, preacher and church folk bashing! Superimposing your bad experiences on all of us is just stupid.

The blood of his so called friends will be upon his head for turning people away from hearing the Gospel. What an idiot.

And as long as we are all wrapped up in this world's politics and hating one another...we'll not see revival.

You must not think that African-American congregations are churches then..................................

What does he do invite them to the Unitarian Church or Congregationalist Church so they won't get offended? It perplexes me why he even continues to attend an Apostolic Church since we are all so hateful towards Democrats. I don't get it.

I am not sure what others are experiencing, but there is a definite change in the spiritual climate of our country. But God's work and ministry will prevail.
I gave prophecy a few months ago Obama would win. It's on this forum. He is satan.
