Welcome,

Where would a person begin to start to clean up this type
of devastation! May God give strength and courage to those
who were affected by this natural disaster, in Jesus Name!

Blessings,

Link to a website that was sent to me today where there are some pictures from Ike….

I have two of my old customers that had houses on Tiki Island

When you see the pictures of everything on 45 South near exit 7 they lived South of there on the water…

I like the one of the guy carrying a sign “a bad day at the beach…”

Just think this was only a cat 2….

A picture is worth a thousand words of the fish caught in the fence. It seems you can read his lips "oh no!"

Those pics you saw from Sour Lake is not far from where I live.

We drove down the road a little ways this afternoon on our street and it seems no one had as much debris in their yard as we did. Although some had trees down but the yard was not strawn all over with debris.

This storm cause a huge mess to clean up.

Prayer answered!

I now have electricity weeks before they expected us to. Still no land line or cable, but that is ok, I am getting cool.

The mosquitoes are unbelievable. BAD!

Thanks for all the prayers

Awesome!!!!

I am sure you have probably seen them already but I saw something new at lowes to me at least the other day. They have these fogger machines that spray stuff to kill mosquitoes on a bigger area and they arent that expensive. Might be worth checking out if they are real bad??

Yes we are considering that. My nephew has one, the only thing is it doesn't seem to last very long. I still have a lot of yard work to do, but I am now seeing daylight. Thankfully.

Re: Hike away from Ike?

Another option and something that sounds insane but my cousin did it when Rita hit their house and they had massive clean up. She took Tea Tree Oil the pure drops not concentrated and dilluted it a tiny bit... put it in a spray bottle and sprayed it in a circle around the general area she would be working in. It seemed to last twice as long as the citronella or any of the store bought stuff she was using. They also had a massive infestation of fleas come from some where at that time and had no animals. This also killed them. She went from being ate up w mosquito bites to absolutely none the next week.

About 30 dollars for the bottles she bought lasted her 4 weeks while they did clean up. Just a thought might help in addition to the fogger

Praise the Lord, Esther!!!!!

Yes, the mosquitoes are horrible. They are so tiny. That's unusual. We have sprayed the yard and around our doors. When you walk through the grass they just start flying. lol

Glad things are getting better!
