Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I don't understand this. Do folks leave the enforcement, instruction, etc. of standards to other members of the church?

Of course not. No one should even mention standards or such.

And we have done that! We had a conference back in March that MAYBE on guy preached a little bit of standards! And the reason I like that is because there may be somebody there who a conviction that day! And it helps to know there are other people out there who believe it like you do! It helps encourage me personally!

Isn't it a paradox when women stand to testify how that nobody told them to burn their jeans and put their hair up while men say they felt conviction about the hairy catterpiller under their nose? Why preach standards at all if this is truly the case?

I honestly believe that the concpet of standards is brilliant because it is self regulating. There is nothing like a women hiding as you walk by because they are wearing something they shouldn't be as a nother apostolic walks by.

glory.
