It's been so long since I've posted in this thread... Seems that STS is the glue that holds us all together, and when she's not here posting, we all just kind of drift away.

I do miss STS.... and I also miss all the other regular posters who were posting here... like QE telling us about her girls...

There's a lot of things going on that have kept me offline and away from the computer, and when I am online I have a good bit of work to get done and I'm trying to keep things in order of priority.

Forums, emails, and chatting have taken a back burner for a while, because I'm going to be helping the organizers at church getting things ready for Friend Day-- and Camp Yadah-- which will be coming up very quickly. We've also got a few spring baseball games at Ole Miss that we're doing concessions for.. I think it was 7 games... and I've got to work some of those because the funds are going to help the ladies & Sunday School dept's at church.

I'll also be helping with concessions at the horse shows and rodeo that will be going on at the arena this summer.

Someone told me not too long ago that I really needed to get out of the house more... now I long for a day when I can just stay home and do nothing!

Hey Ladies!! How is everyone? I'm not around much anymore but since I am on here today i suppose I could share with you guys a few things that have been happening in my life!

First of all my husband got a second part-time job at our local hospital - it is good due to our finances but it will add stress due to his lack of time with the family.

Secondly, I had posted quite awhile back that I would be getting a job promotion at work - well that didn't happen like we had hoped but there was still a chance for me to get it but my boss came to me today and said that they were giving her the Dean of Students position in addition to her current workload and that the current secretary for the Dean of Students is retiring in May so they will be rehiring for that position and that she wanted me to apply for it IF I wanted to. It is 3 levels higher than mine and will be MUCH better pay!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I do!!!!!!!!! So, I am pumped about that.

And last but NOT LEAST, we received $1000.00 unexpectedly last week it was such a blessing from God and it amazes me to see how God works, we received the check on Friday - we had been stressing about how we were going to pay a few bills and then we received the check from someone who felt like God had laid it upon their heart to help us financially! Then on Saturday morning, our brakes line busted on our car and if it weren't for that check we would not have been able to get it fixed right now and would be with out a car!!!!!!!!!!

God is SO amazing and he has been pouring out his blessings to us here lately! It is awesome!

Tina!! I am so glad you posted just now!! I miss talking to everyone here, especially STS!!

Update on my girls:

Jasmine is starting Kindergarten this fall I just turned in her enrollment papers. And Ariel will be 1 on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Sad!! My babies are not babies anymore!!!!!

Thank you! I am SO nervous thinking about the fact that I have to go through the whole interview process with 3 different people but I know she is pulling for me and wants me so....that helps!!

I guess it's my turn to check in...

Well, this might shock some of you, but I actually attended a church service yesterday, the first one in almost a year!

The church is a new church and the service was held in a school. It's non-denominational (oops, the first time around I typed "demoninational", do you think that's a sign?? ) and very casual and pretty progressive.

It was way different then anything I had ever been to. Ok, well, it really wouldn't take much since I only ever attended UPC churches. But I think that was a good thing, as I am pretty...well...twitchy about things.

All in all, I considered it a pleasant experience.
