Well if you come here plz let me know! I want to see yall! Not under these circumstances but would love to see you... I pray it does not come to that but I know they are talking about mandatory evacuations on the Bunkie area this afternoon... Their pastor cancelled church and they were told to batton down the hatches there too

I am assuming your staying with your friends I know here right? If so message me somehow and I will get to you if you come this way and say hey. Praying!

About an hour ago I saw they moved it up to 8 A.M.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

The good news about the storm moving faster than they had predicted is that it may not have time to pick up strength so may hit land as a weaker cat 3 than the strong cat 3 or cat 4 they have been thinking.

It has already slowed from a cat 4 down to a cat 3.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Hurricane Gustav

I do have to say this... It may be a different story being actually there but I have been rotating between the weather channel and foxnews and it appears that New Orleans has totally handled this differently so far and I am very proud of how it appears to be moving so smoothly so far. God bless all in the path of this storm!
