"Hey there Sunshine! Hubby hit you in the face and you have a black eye? Well don't let it get you down... you've got the holy ghost... if you let it affect you emotionally then you must not have the holy ghost."
This REEKS of cult.
I'm outta here... again.

What part of "we're talking about so-called 'spiritual abuse'" did you NOT understand that you felt the need to make such a stupid comment?
Okay, everyone, say it with me...
THIS THREAD IS ABOUT SPIRITUAL ABUSE AND NOT PHYSICAL ABUSE!

Because I have reached my limit of self control, I need to bow out of this thread.

I am bitter toward the UPC?????????????
Never did belong and I can honestly say NO UPC preacher has ever done me personally any harm. And any other organization??????????? I am a member of an organization and been an official for several years???
But I will examine my spirit and if any bitterness is there I do want it out I have no desire to give it a home.

The person that is on the receiving end of the abuse, does not have to allow the abuse to affect there spirit. We all have the ability to change the negative things in our lives into something positive if we so desire. In my opinion (and thats all it really is) we can DECIDE not to let any kind of abuse to skew our lives and dwell on them. I hope that makes better sense.

The key word here is "CHOICE." This is what my argument is based upon.

In the last nine months that I've posted between the GNC and here, it seems that you have had a sweet disposition more so than many others, thank you Felicity.

Once again no one is denying the harmful affects of abuse, but WE ultimately decide wether or not we will allow the abuse to change our relationship with God.

There are victims and there are volunteers for abuse. Victims are just trying to figure out why things are so wrong and they are so miserable. Volunteers go back for more.
