Many baptists and most Messianic Jews don't celebrate Christmas just to name a few.

I would have to agree with Ben in that it is what it is and trying to make Christmas something it's not is basically putting lipstick on a pig.

Do I think it is heaven or hell? No! It's simply not the best thing to do. To let a lie live is to be apart of the lie in part.

I love how we start preaching against things that were okay for decades, but then DON'T preach against new things that have come up in the last 10-15 years...

It's like a mechanic that is looking at a car that is missing an engine, and is more concerned that the gas cap is missing. The gas cap was missing for years, but suddenly that is the problem that needs to be solved...

How enlightening that most jews do not celebrate the meaning of Christmas.

They do however celebrate their holiday.

My uncle was a pastor of a southern baptist church in Minden, LA that had over 3,000 members in the 1980's.

He pastored the church for 40 years.

He was held a Dr of Divinity.

They celebrated Christmas and never had any issues with the theme and celebration.

The point was they consider it pagan and they are considered Christians. What does Southern Baptist have to do with other baptists? I did not say all I said many.

The Southern Baptist Convention is the largest organization of Baptist in the United States.

Dancing before idols and pagan images is also a practice with Pagan roots.

Yet, David chose to dance before the people of Israel as the Ark was moved from Obededom's house.

All this after he went to the priest to see how the Ark was to be handled.

In this dance David was praising and dancing before the Lord.

His wife even called him mad.

It did not matter with him or where the origins of this expression had it's roots.

All he knew was if pagan's can dance before lifeless god's and lifeless idol's.

The King of Israel should be able to dance before his Lord and King.

If a Pagan can celebrate a lifeless god.

Then how much more should I celebrate the God of all ages.

I celebrate him because he is the "Hero of the Ages"!
