I visited R.L.s church one time back in the late 70's while I was in Houston. It was one of my most interesting church visits. I have a knack for stumbling across werid situations.

Yeah, I have a tough time avoiding weird situations too. RLM came to a church I attended about five years ago. It was good for the first three weeks. But then the next two months were absolutely horrendous. He almost split the church, drove a wedge between the pastor and the asst. pastor and contributed to the asst. getting fired, and to this day the church is still suffering from the negative affects of his "ministry". My best advice for anybody who sees him coming, grab your wallet and run for the hills.

I've never considred Robbie an ultra con,he married Lisa Godair-Johnnie Godairs daughter.Theres a story that Robbie decided that standards were no longer necessary at his church and preached this to the church over a weekend when Lisa had gone home, she refused to come home until he changed his beliefs on standards, and she's back home and Robbies at the No Limits conference.

Scary thing for me is that I dated Lisa back in the day once or twice. Thank God for unanswered prayers. I'm glad I'm not Robbie in that case . If momma aint happy, aint NOBODY happy. (ask me how I know! )
It is interesting to me though how it seems many of the strongest propenents of standards seem to be women. That's counter-intuitive it seems to me.
Hey B. How do we know each other? My wife says she thinks you like to play the drums. True?

Was during this revival that the camera's were encouraged to pan in on those that weren't worshipping as much as they should?

Uh oh.
That reminds me of the last time I was there. I was sitting next to TGraves when the co-pastor, at the time, reprimanded everybody for not being "worshippy enough" during the offering. That mad me so mad because, unlike him, I've actually worked a regular job in the "world" and know how hard it can be to make a buck. If I'm show up and I walk down there to give my money earned through the sweat of my brow then I'm being plenty "worshippy enough" and don't need to do a jig for the dude in a suit on the platform who lives off my offering. I turned to TG and said, "Dude, I hope you'll still be my friend but I'm leaving and I'm never coming back." His jaw hit the floor and my wife and I got up and walked out and we've never been back in ten years. I'm sorry to hear that sort of stuff still goes on. It's shameful. Thankfully the Lord has led me to more appreciative churches since then.
Sorry Sweet Pea. I hope you still love me.

Re: No Limits Conference Speakers?
Is it the Forum you are addicted to or that Rocky Road icecream that gets you up to sneak through the house at 3:30 in the morning?

I remember going out to eat there w/BH and somebody else but for the life of me I can't remember who that was. The harder I try to remember the less my brain cooperates. Do you and I share the same first name?
White River, Doc & Rosy...good times. Gary lives there now w/his family. You prob know that.

I agree with you wholeheartedly!
Two of TG's kids are married to people I love dearly...their daddy is just the same, in fact worse than TG.
