I will state clearly, I have no issue with KH.
I was just responding to your response to me...

Though I haven't read all of your posts... Be assured that a lot of the younger pastors are trying to present the gospel I mantioned..

I think the ship will reset its proper course if more pastors had your spirit.

We on the local level, have had to apologize for the way it used to be... However I am not going to spend all of my time apologizing for the attitudes of the churches from yesteryear, and I agree, they were very hard...

What I am going to do is present to them a better, more caring church that does not have to stick it's nose in all of their business...

Thanks for the compliment... There are a lot of us out here that are doing our best to present a great, caring church that just happens to be UPC... We certainly don't major on the UPC part either, a lot of the saints I pastor don't even know what it is, and the ones that do are thankful for the changes..

almost 30 of those years have passed since my dad passed at 43.

He would be amazed at how many of his friends are no longer in the UPCI.

It is the opportunities that the UPCI left on the table over those 30 years that bothers me....

I am talked out on this thread...

But you stop and pause for your entire walk with God to share a doctrine of Hair that has nothing to do with getting into the Kingdom of God.

Do you preech that this "Hair" is a commandment after (ABI 2:38) experience?

How about the command of Christ in Matthew 19:21 and 22?

Jesus Speaking, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Does this mean that Christ is telling us all we need to sell everything and give it to the poor?

Christ says to be perfect! To have treasure in heaven you need to sell all and follow me.

You talk about Paul following Christ, Christ himself tells one to sell all and follow him.

Who do we follow Paul following Christ, or Follow Christ as Christ himself proclaims?

or could it be somethings are not salvational to the masses of saints in order to be saved.

The connection to the young man was he was rich..

To the Church at Corinth even Paul says we have no such custom.

This admonishment was specifically to Corinth because of their culture of that day...

Today we have no need to have this distinction of our woman cutting their hair to avoid appearing as those who have been found guilty of prostitution.

When you see a lady with cut hair today, do you tell yourself "I know what crime she has committed?"

You have never heard this argument.

because the Lord shared with me.

Outside the Grace of God and even the action of Acts 2:38.

God deals with individuals differently.

I think that many of those who abide by the rule book of the UPCI standards.

Do it as bind drones following rules and not personal convictions of the Lord.

When something is a commandment it is not a standard.

When you sell everything you have and give it to the poor as Christ spoke to the Young man.

Then I will instruct my wife to stop cutting her hair and I will throw out my TV.

I think the following of the Actual Christ is worth more than following one who says follow me as "I" follow Christ.

Yet you would not sell all and give it to the poor....
your right, lets just take the book of corinthians out of the bible since its not for us.in fact im sure there is more, why dont you just tell me which books of the bible are not for us and i will stop preaching from them.

Pastor G,
I am ready to consider any wisdom you can give me, but just saying my posts are juvenile and lack depth, gives me no constructive or concrete criticism that can help me. Until you produce something constructive to say which has some substance (the same thing you said I lacked), I will disregard your former statement to me.

tv1a,
Covenant Eyes is a great help to me. I need the accountability it offers me and it makes it so my good is not spoken evil of. I don't know a way around the Covenant Eyes system, and if I find one, then I'll find some other accountability system to replace it. I am not going to surf the internet without accountability, and I am not going to try to hack Covenant Eyes and waste the money I spend on it. Boundaries, they keep things in and they keep things OUT.

GOD BLESS!
Bro. Alex

From the way you responded here you seem to imply that the Epistles are only for the particular church and not the church at large. Hey, maybe you could team up with Thomas Jefferson. He took out the Gospels and you take out the Epistles. Care to discuss eschatology?
No sir, I do not need to study hermeneutics. All I needed to do was see how the demographics of the UPCI as a kid when we traveled coast to coast across the US.

To see that some in the UPCI did not see the letter to Corinth and the hair issue as being important to them.

If I took out the Epistles.

Then you have added to them.....

Stop preaching your own footnotes would be a great place to start..

You have my permission to stay out of the First and second Maccabees.
