A hearty Amen. That maybe thinking to highly of yourself to pay $400 for one meal. And yet they talk about costly array. Maybe those same preachers paying $400 for lobster are saving on buying there suits at Value City for $59.00. nah LOL

Buying expensive suits is cool and paying $400 for one meal is cool too. I wouldn't pay $400 for one meal, but I would buy a $1000 suit. I am not rich, but there are some things that I prefer to pay a lot for and suits are one of them.

Is this over the top in your opinion ????
How do we know that what you're saying is factual?

Where's the other witnesses?

What's the big deal? If the pastor has any financial sense about him, he would count it as a business expense on his taxes. I see this as a win win situation.
Finally someone is seeing what I see... what are they doing in a place like that in the first place...

Wellllll...if the man had been paid already for his services and wanted to waste his money on a $400 meal, then I still think that would be his bizness (albeit, bad stewardship, IMO), BUT...if he stuck the church or the pastor with a bill like that? Totally crass. What you do with your own money is one thing. What you do with other folks' funds is quite another.

When someone else pays for our meal, I usually ask them to order first, and then order something in a similar price range or lower.

However....I do know of a particular singing group who will remain nameless, who had a secret code word for when a church had paid them badly or not at all, and when they were taken out to eat, they ordered the best thing on the menu. Can't say I necessarily would do the same (then again....), but it is kind of funny! (Just to clarify, I doubt they did that at churches who obviously couldn't afford much...but it is kind of irritating to go to a large church with plenty of funds and be paid so little it doesn't even cover gas expenses.)

The pastor wasn't present. (At least, as it is now being reported....)

Berkeley you still need more than just one witness to prove your source.
