I could've highlighted many parts of our post. IF my husband is wondering about this, well then....that got me to thinking and doing some research and I'm coming to the same conclusions...hmmmm, just exactly why can't this thing be produced????

And why did McCain have to produce his BC? Seems I remember the media making a fuss about him being born in Panama, yet the very idea that Obama would have to stoop so low as to have to actually produce a BC makes the liberal elite and media laugh (and squirm at the same time).

sandie, here are some things to think about:

1. The lack of a long form BC does not prove he is not a natural born citizen (and the Constitution only requires that he be a natural born citizen, not that he has a long form BC).

2. The lack of a long form BC does not make him unable to prove he is a natural born citizen. (Other things like his COLB which says it was filed 4 days after he was born and newspaper ads are EVIDENCE that he was born here).

3. Even having a long form BC does not absolutely prove a person was born here. (There are ways it could have been faked or a doctor paid to produce a false one. I made this point to counter any argument that the evidence he has isn't enough proof that he was born here because it's not absolute).

I've certainly considered all the above (thanks, btw for spelling it out so clearly).
Those are the very reasons I, like the Deacon, thought this to be a non-issue for all this time.
I'm considering still those points you've made.
Guess I'd just like to have some reassurance that whoever is the president is truly a citizen.

Having empty pockets is not a defense against bank robery charges.

jfrog is referring to documents that are locked up and hidden. There are at least 3 document trails that begin at the hospitals that are generated before the Long form documents at the state records. Those are also blocked.

For it being a non-issue it sure bothers yall alot.

I'm all for reassurance, but you gotta admit most republicans don't bring it up that way. They bring it up as proof he shouldn't be president. In fact, this very thread is evidence of that...

I'm for your reassurance but I don't really think he is able to produce a long form BC. So if he can't reassure you by producing it then then how can he reassure you? Or if he can't reassure you then where do we go from there?

I'm thinking if anyone can get to the bottom of this it should be Trump. With his gazillion dollars I'm sure he's bought the best detectives there are.

"Innocent til proven guilty", I suppose is how I feel. It'll be interesting to see if anything more turns up with Trump's investigation team.

To me it's the only logical explanation of why he is spending 2 million on it. As far as the physical cause of why he can't, bad record keeping by Hawaii would be the first thing that comes to my mind. Other than that
