Yeah...I guess they're saying if they invite a Republican, they have to invite a Democrat.

Don't know if that's true...just what I heard.

Of course it's not true... but it does sound good, and it's probably the safe thing to do - to just stay away from it.

My guess the real reason is because of Palin's gender. They never worried about equal time before.

Never at a General Conference, but at the state level they flood the Lousiana campground each election year.

A prominent conservative political figure in our province, who also happened to be a woman, spoke many times at our events held in her area during her tenure in office. Female has nothing to do with it.

I'm glad she didn't address the GC, the liberal media have enough to pick at.

Personally, I think it is different when someone is coming as a sitting official versus coming as a candidate. I'm not necessarily saying that you are wrong for having candidates, but I do see a fundamental difference.

I was simply addressing the notion that she didn't address the GC because she was female.
