Yes, they do. However, I don't want to dig through the HGTV "garbage can" to get to the good show!

And what about our beliefs? If you think that way, then what about how we as conservatives feel? When you talk about us and our beliefs? And you can't understand our reasoning?
Well, to begin with, the very premise of your question is off-base. You seem to be using the TV issue as a defining issue as to what identifies someone as a conservative.

Just so you know...there are conservatives who have TVs in their homes.

And there are conservative Apostolic pastors (some of whom I know personally) that don't have one, but don't preach that having one is a sin.

Well, then I guess we would be considered an ultra conservative! Because I don't know of any conservative pastors that have a TV! And you're right, TV is a defining issue as to whether or not you are conservative! Of course there are other things, such as holiness standards and no jewlery. But I would encourage you to go back and read such threads like Ventura Camp Meeting, because if you havn't, then you wouldn't know the debates that have taken place, and how we have already been considered as conservatives because of our stand, and they would ask us what we saw wrong with TV, and so now we want to know, WHY you have one! So no, my question wasn't off base, you just didn't understand it!

Re: Now, it's your turn!
Are we now basing whether we are conservative, liberal or otherwise on our feelings??

Wow! I always thought it was based on principles that we held to -- or didn't hold to.
Absolutely! I hold to the principle of no TV, non jewelry, holiness within and without, so on and so forth! But the question was meant as, "Are you a conservative?" If so, then how so?

This response then naturally leads to the next "run it in the ground and kick the dead horse" debates...

What exactly is "holiness within and without"? Is it possible that no tv, no jewelry, and long sleeves actually make one "holy without" in the eyes of God?

Can outward holiness really be bought at Walmart on the winter clothes sale rack?

Were the terrorist, who flew those airplanes into the WTC on 9/11 in long sleeved white dress shirts "holy without" in God's eyes?

What in the blue blazes is "holiness without"?

Does God really recognize sleeves and no jewelry as holiness?

Is this in fact "holiness by works" which would be as filthy rags in God's sight?

Just a few questions in the "Holiness Without" thread you need to get the debate going on BK.........since you seem to like these threads.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

(I understand your question perfectly sir.)

Well, your zeal is admirable, thought somewhat naive. But anyway...

You say someone who has a TV is not conservative. Really? Says who? You and your buddies?

Is there a World Grand Apostolic Council somewhere that gets to decide who should be considered conservative and who should not? Who maintains the Master Checklist that contains the defining issues (TV, holiness standards, jewelry... whatever else) that determines who is worthy to be considered conservative, and who's not worthy??

You seem to be unaware that there are hard-liners much more conservative than you who would probably not consider YOU conservative.

So at the end of the day, labels don't matter that much to God. What's important is to be a good Christian. I feel sorry for those who take pride in labels.

I also feel sorry for those who are in false doctrine! So hey, at least we have some compassion for people! And also, I don't think we labeled ourselves as conservative, but it came from others around us! And we actually were moderates until over time everyone moves further to the left! Hey, we are middle of the road! We can't help it if someone moves the road!
