I agree with this and have thought this for years. GC could probably be reenergized by being held every other year. More people could afford to go and it would be a bigger draw.

On the off year a one day business meeting could be held at an easy location easy and cheap to fly into like Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, etc.

I don't think the pastor should live higher than the people. My pastor told me to look at the top 25% of the people and NEVER live better than they do, He said if no one in your church drives a Lincoln then you don't either.

What's wrong with Jeremy Foster??????????????????

The music is the most current music and being sung in A LOT of Churches....(it's not really all my style but it's ok)

YC was very "youthy" I don't know how else to explain it....the kids LOVED it.

I remember when i was on the IL Youth Board, we went to an AG District Youth Conference to check it out....I remember the kids being in jeans, the speakers being casual, the music being current and everything seeming 'relevant' to the teenagers....

Then you went to our National Youth Congress and we were singing old songs...everyone was wearing suits....and it was more like regular church...

Even if you gave a $1000 offering at Spanish Conference, that money could and sometimes did go to pay for another multi-cultural ministry...

Also, there has not been a true "Spanish Ministy Offering drive". The only money asked for is to help pay for the Conference. We do not have our own account to deposit the money.

I think it's a little inaccurate to say we are subsidized
There you go again confusing us w/ the facts.

Exactly what it should be church, not a rock concert.

What does JF not having a license have to do w/ the price of chicken in Afghanistan? Or even a TV program ... especially if not licensed?

Were you there?
It was NOT a rock concert.
The power of God fell on that stadium, and the musicians couldn't keep playing, the singers couldn't keep singing and I saw over 15,000 people on their knees before God....
