It's kinda silly to legislate morality this way..to say that as soon as a guy turns 18 he is in a position of authority and power and can have an unfair influence over a girl who is under 18...so he took advantage of her, but as soon as she turns 18 suddenly she is mature enough to make her own decisions

Prax, whether it is silly or not, it is the way the law works. We all know that. So there is no excuse for not living within the confines of the law. This guy knew that law. He chose to do things his own way. So now he will have to pay the price for that. And sadly, the girl, who probably also should have known better, but gets a bit of a pass just because of her age, will also have to live with the actions that this man did not control in himself. It will follow her for the rest of her life - whether she likes it or not.

I think you're lying about your story...But if I'm wrong, you are guilty of something...By not saying anything and allowing this "youth leader," to continue to function in the church and be around other under age girls!?!?!
He is in a position to repeat his actions, and you sir do NOTHING!?!?!
He could just as well be the next 47 year old...All because you want to protect you're reputation?!?!?!
It was not up to you're daughter to press charges, it waS you're duty and responcibility to press charges...I hope that when you're daughter come to herself, that she does not throw this in you're face...

I did, he never actually said she passed on...IMO, I don't buy his story and I base it on what he wrote.

If I'm wrong and it's true, he still kept silent and this "youth leader" is still active in the church...What if he becomes the next 47 year old and my daughter the 16 year old? I would be in jail, for punching the perv and those who knew he was a perv and allowed him to function.

Really. Guess you are right - he actually said "she was killed."

He can correct me if I misread, but I don't believe his daughter went through with the meeting and that's why he refrained from telling the other parents about their daughters.
