My advice is that you and your husband would be best off to wait until you are in complete unity about it. My wfe was right by my side when we left, but it took a lot of discussions before we came to that conclusion togher. I have had to develop an internal relatioship that replaced a holiness that focues predonminantly on "external" issues. Our church is doing great. Check out our website at www.ccc-si.com

Dr Phill I would recomend one have this internal relationship long before they leave performance based religion. After all it is the internal relationship, that was the whole reason Christ came to earth for us.
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Man has gotten too wrapped up in the salvation issue and has not gone on to grow into relationship with God.
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
It is becoming my opinion that many that have been saved, and then lost are only lost in the mind of close minded legalistic so called Christians. Based primarily on thier own twisted teaching of what are the commandments of God.
Let me give a list of things I have come to find are not sin.
It is not a sin for a women to wear jewlery, put on make-up, wear pants, or cut her hair.
For all you saved alcoholics don't read this. It is not a sin to have a glass of wine or beer.
It is not a sin to go to the movie theater.
I could go on but I have made the point I wanted to make. If someone leaves a performance based church everyone judges them by thier church standards hence they become lost in the eyes of that church. When the fact of the matter they have grown in God in leaps and bounds beyond the restrictive legalistic church they left.
If any one wants to debated this you can private message me as I have said more than enough. It is not my intent to cause any to fall that are weak in the faith.
Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Rom 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
