I have preached at independant or other org home mission churches because the UPCI church that was larger didn't preach unknown preachers.

This church is not a home missions church! My wife was born and raised in that church. That is where I met and married my wife. We attended this church until the Lord moved us from there a few years back. My wife's grandparents were one of the original families that started the church there! I am not real sure of the dates but I believe this goes back to the 1950's. Also if only her grandmother was still with us she could give the very founding members and pastor. Oh the wealth of information that lady had. If there ever was a saint she was. I know she would say don't be discouraged about all this.... Jesus is still on the throne.

Well, everyone I have ever talked to about it told me different. We don't need to get a Woman Preacher thread started that would not change anybody's mind.

I agree it wouldn't but that is the beauty of america we can be right and they can exercise their right to be wrong.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night and write down "a topic/or thought" and then God would lead me to scriptures. I am not making this up. I always thought it was for my benefit to share with others but - never to preach. God would allow me to meet someone the next day or in a few days and I could use the thoughts and verses. It was amazing. That was years ago. I had lots of "study notes" if you want to call them that, but that didn't mean I was given those as a "preacher"...
