It is not a requirement, just usually what happens when you "dress" up.
So for you wearing a skirt means "dressing up"?

Not questioning your experience, but I can honestly say that I do not feel "tough" wearing pants. I like to wear them because they are warmer in the winter, more comfortable and easier to move around in (so mine obviously are not tight), require less planning in terms of an outfit, and look normal worn with tennis shoes. (I wear orthotics and my feet are not happy in dress shoes.)
BINGO! The best thing about wearing pants is not having to wear high heels.
Which is neither here nor there when it comes to what the Word of God says. We must line our lives up with God's Word regardless of our preferences. However, I don't see that modest pants on American women in this century is out of order.
This is all news to me. I sure thought there were many skirts that would be inappropriate to wear heels with... in fact I would have said that would go for most skirt styles... just like wearing a tie is only for formal dress...
But again, I am a guy what would I know?
Are you ladies of the opinion you must dress up to attend a church service?

Doesn't anyone preach against high heels anymore?
Just wondering???? BTW I don't wear pants and rarely wear high heels. I love loafers.
I do too - but someone has to bring in some dough... see ya'll later!
PS I hardly ever wear pants with heels either! LOL!

May I add something to this? I've been thru a few of these posts on this subject. I can only talk about me personally: before I got the revelation of Jesus name, I started wearing dresses/skirts. I gave up all my pants, jewelry, and make-up and stopped cutting the back of my hair. (Now I don't cut any of it) Anyway, the reason I stopped wearing the pants was because I had to be honest with myself. Who am I? What's my point in all this? Honestly, I wore them to be tough. I truly felt tough while wearing pants. If women who wear or have worn pants would think about it and be honest with themselves, they would see how dressing in that apparel makes them feel. I'm NOT saying that there aren't tough women in dresses. I've met and feared some. I'm saying that if we dress in a way that makes us look like women, we'll feel like the woman that God created us to be. I use to argue that there are women's pants. Why argue? Are there men's skirts? (Sure, in Scotland) Really, when we argue the point, it's just so we can fulfill our own fleshly desires. We're going to do what we want anyways. AND, you won't have to go too far to find someone that will agree with what you want to do.
I feel quite feminine in my pants. I don't feel less feminine in them than when I wear skirts.

Not must, but should. Why not give God our best?
